1bassoon
I have a pair of black pants that I love - very comfy. The zipper works, but won't stay up :glare: The locking "thingy" isn't working. I'm thinking I need to replace it. Is it a bear of a job? I'm fairly good with a machine, and sewing by hand, but have never "reworked" something. Any tips? fairfarmhand
I've done it and it is not too hard. Have you ever put in a zipper before? If not you may want to practice once on scrap fabric before you actually do it.
1bassoon
Yes, I've done a zipper - I was just wondering if the whole process of taking out this malfunctioning zipper and putting in a new one would give me more grey hairs! ;)
Jean in Newcastle
It shouldn't be too bad. It will be a little bit trickier because you're not sewing a zipper on a totally flat piece of fabric but fabric that is already sewed to other pieces, though.
