Journey
And some say that homeschooled kids are "missing out"! Apparently that's not so true. I've been reading this along. If you go to the bottom, start with the introduction post and stuff or you won't get what the person's writing about. Took me a minute to figure it out! http://pleasetellmeididnotjustseethat.blogspot.com/
smrtmama
I'm a little dubious about whether or not the author is who she claims to be.

anneofalamo
I think there is a mixture of real and unreal in her writing. More of a rant from a sophomore.
DarlaS
That sound more likely to have been written by a teacher than a student. There are many tip-offs there that lead me to think this (having nothing to do with the person's writing ability). I'd list them, but need to go check the oven. Interesting read though. Wheres Toto
I agree. Oldest dd is a junior in high school. I spend a lot of time driving around other high school girls and none of them sound like this. Why would a high school student be eating lunch chatting with the vice principal and school secretary? That's just very odd.
secular_mom
Wow, that kid sounds like a snot-nosed little brat, really. Seems to think she's more important than the other students, than her teacher, and than the lunch ladies. Obviously has a problem with the slightest bit of authority and is self centered enough to think that people are interested in reading her moaning and whining. She defines jocks for us, WELL DUH, no one else could've figured out WTH she was talking about if she hadn't enlightened us  Nobody cares if some kid was offended by her shirt and yelled at her, no one cares if the lunch lady told her to get in the back of the line, and no one cares if she can't find a can of non-diet tea. :tongue_smilie: And the writing style- seems like she's trying too hard to sound mature, and it just comes off as the opposite IMO.
