Staceyshoe
I'm considering simplifying by doing copywork and dictation from our history lessons instead of from WWE. I need some hand-holding though. I love that the WWE workbooks target a specific skill and very gradually have more complex copywork sentences, etc. Does The Complete Writer have a list of different skills to work through in copywork and dictation? (For example, would it give me an idea of different punctuations to target for copywork and in what order? Would it tell me exactly what skills we should be trying to develop through dictation?) I don't mind finding our own passages for copywork and dictation, but I want to make sure that the ones I choose would be building appropriate skills. If The Complete Writer provides a detailed skills list, I think I might purchase that and use it as our guide.
Laurel
Yes, it does exactly that. After each example week (5 or 6 for each year), it will give suggested grammar and punctuation points to look for with copywork/dictation sentences. I was hoping this was the case, but I couldn't really tell from the description. I think I'll get a copy and give this a try!:)
Veritaserum
I sold our WWE workbooks and use The Complete Writer to create lessons from my kids' readings. :)
