Marsha
If you use JAG in 4th and AG in 6th, 7th, and 8th... What do you use before and after and in 5th grade?
Julie in MO
Hi, First I have to tell you that I LOVE Junior Analytical Grammar. That obviously makes me bias. We used it this year with my 6th and 4th graders. Previously we used A Beka and Shurley English - both nice programs, but my girls just weren't "getting it." Having done JAG, I looked back through our old workbooks and realized that if we went through them again now, they really would "get it." JAG presents grammar so logically. JAG was not too hard to my 4th grader. I plan on using the review workbook with her and concentrate more on writing next year - and having her diagram her own sentences from her writing. My 6th grader will move onto to the 3 year AG program. Just some thoughts...hope you get a plan that blesses you! Julie:)
siloam
Marsha, Well I don't know when we will finish JAG, probably before the fall. I plan to just have her use CW sentences to continue to do the same parsing and diagramming that we do in JAG. Heather
