HappyGrace
I would like a few nice 16 oz mugs with some character to them, like pottery type. Actual pottery ones on Etsy START at $20 and there is no way I'd pay that for a mug, the way things break around here! I'd just buy some I saw at Walmart that are made to look handcrafted, but I'm concerned about lead, so I want something with no lead! thanks! Tap
OKay so not inexpensive but have you looked at Denby...
HappyGrace
Oh, those are beautiful, but WAY out of my price range! There must be something out there that fits my criteria?
kathkath
*sigh* I LOVE denby. It will hold up forever though. Our everyday dishes are Denby and we are hard on things--only a couple have broken in 8 years.
Halftime Hope
but if you found a denby pattern that you like, you could set up an Ebay search for it, or check Shepherd Hills Pottery for seconds: http://www.shephillspottery.com/index.asp
RoughCollie
Here is a place that has lead-free mugs. Check the sale page, too. http://www.hartstonepottery.com/ I don't know if they still do, but LL Bean used to sell their dishes and mugs. I bought a set and I was pleased with its quality. Miss Peregrine
Have you looked at Fiestaware? I believe they have larger mugs.
