2squared
Anyone have a great kid cookbook for an 8yo? I'm looking for a cookbook with a variety of recipes (main meals, snacks, desserts, etc) that are fairly easy to follow. I would like lots of pictures and somewhat simple oven and stove needs. The recipes do not have to be healthy. Any suggestions?
6packofun
The Pampered Chef one for children is really nice! We have the Better Homes & Gardens Junior cookbook and it's gotten a lot of use. Gold Medal Flour has some a very cute little cookbook called Alpha Bakery that we love, if you can find it. Not sure it's still in print, but you used to be able to get it with an order form right on the bag of flour. :)
happi duck
Mollie Katzen has great cookbooks with real recipes, set up for kids and with tips for cooking with kids. I like the first two but haven't seen Salad People...seems set up the same way. Maybe your library would have copies for you to preview. gingersmom
The American Girl cookbook is really really good. We have used it for years. My son has never met a cookbook he does not like. He can sit for hours in the bookstore looking at cookbooks and trying to convince me to buy just one more.

thescrappyhomeschooler
My son wanted this one when he saw it at Target a couple years ago. http://www.amazon.com/Better-Homes-Gardens-Junior-Cook/dp/B002Y2GXQW The recipes aren't what I'd call healthy, but they are easy and fun and we've made quite a few. Both boys like it, actually.
