Old Dominion Heather
I want to substitute Dante out until either the end of the year or until the next history rotation in 10th grade. My oldest is so stressed out right now that I think he needs something lighter or at least something not about eternal punishment. ;) He is getting ready for a BIG state competition in a month and woke up having a panic attack last night. I'd rather him not also be stressing about which level of hell he is destined for.
pooh bear
Do you want something that follows the history cycle, or something light and funny, not related to the time period?
Old Dominion Heather
Something that follows the history cycle. I'm leaning toward having him read a new version of Robin Hood.
pooh bear
I have not read this, but it is an adaption of Edmund Spencer's The Faerie Queen. The Questing Knights of the Faerie Queen
