AMDG Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Who can recommend their favorite readers?? We have Bob books and DS4 is very much enjoying reading all of the CVC words in the first set. I want MORE CVC short books for DS to read, but hesitate to order something that is too advanced. Bob books are great, I just want MORE practice and variety since he is younger and will need LOTS of practice before more advanced reading. Thanks! We also use the Merrill Readers, which are good for learning to read without having pictures to guess from. Those are a bit expensive though, but worth it. There are two collections that focus mainly on short vowel words--The Runt Pig, and Cobweb the Cat. Hope you find a good reader for your son, sounds like he's doing great!
