I always tell people not to answer kids questions when you can help them discover the answer for themselves. Oddly enough, I'm much better at using Socratic Method with little ones - it helps avoid a lot of fits if your two year old explains to YOU why you can take the snowman in the car :-)

 

This inspired me to work on doing this more with my children as they get older.
