MaryCatherine
Does anyone here know if Maria Miller plans to add any more levels to her math? I've searched around her site but can't find anything about her plans.
lamamaloca
She has written that she doesn't plan to add beyond 6B, because there are enough good pre-algebra and algebra texts.
MaryCatherine
She has written that she doesn't plan to add beyond 6B, because there are enough good pre-algebra and algebra texts. Oh, that makes me sad. I love the way she teaches.
Capt_Uhura
Did she say what she recommends and why?

Corraleno
I'd like to encourage as many people as possible to write to Maria and BEG for a Math Mammoth PreAlgebra program! I've sent her several emails asking about this, and pointing out that although there are many Prealgebra programs, there really isn't one that seamlessly links MM6B to Foerster's Algebra I (her recommendation for Algebra). MM and Foerster's are written in such a similar way — the clarity and depth of the explanations, the strong word problems, the clean/simple layout — that it makes sense to have a Math Mammoth Prealgebra curriculum as a bridge between them, instead of students having to go to a totally different format and approach for a year. Anyway, she said she would think about it if there was really a demand — so please let her know there's a demand! Jackie
Capt_Uhura
Correlano - I definitely will do that as we plan on using Forester's for Algebra. Thanks for the heads up.
HappyGrace
Will do! I have Foerster's here to preview (even though dd is just in 5th). I like it a lot. I was planning on Lial's BCM first but would love MM instead!
Momma H
OK, Correlano, Since Maria has thus far not written a Pre-Algebra program, what would you use today if you had to? :bigear::bigear::bigear:
