Storm Bay
How much work was it? Is there any type of exam? They offer an AP art portfolio class at the ps, so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this.
LibraryLover
We are. I don't know if this helps, but the public school AP art class here meets daily for 180 days...90 minutes each class, and quite a bit work needs to be done outside the class itself. There are written projects and reports (art history +), and an exhibit in the spring where the students are expected to have finished several pieces, with several (not all) thematically related. The exhibit I saw last year was pretty amazing. Only those students who plan to major in art, or are already working artists do this program. EKS
I did an AP art portfolio back in the day (1985) so it may have changed. I remember that there was some writing involved, but not much. The various pieces had to satisfy certain criteria and there also had to be a group of pieces that had a central theme.
