Looking for Grammar & Math Reference Books

I am taking all your advice and working on educating myself, slowly but surely! My next endeavor is to purchase a reference book for grammar and one for math.

For grammar, the books that I have found so far and am contemplating are: Oxford English Grammar and Fowler's Modern English Usage

For math, I saw the Usborne Dictionary of Math, but don't think it's as deep as I'd like to go (I want it to go beyond elementary or jr. high school). I saw a HarperCollins Dictionary of Mathematics.

Basically, I just want an all in one book for each subject. For grammar, I would like it to include diagramming and show illustrations (about diagramming). For math, I'd like basic formulas that are used in high school math, illustrations for geometry and trigonometry, etc. I don't know if that in any way helps you know what I'm looking for, but I definitely want materials that go through high school.

So, got any gems???? I'm in no way attached to any of the above links. I became overwhelmed and decided to just post what I had found thus far.

Thanks!

I didn't think there was anything special about this one, so I wouldn't recommend spending the shockingly high asking prices (in the range of $50) I saw on Amazon for it! (I've got the "heritage edition," whatever that means.)

I am sure others will have better suggestions than mine, though. :)

Also I read some positive review of this book somewhere, so I stuck it in my Amazon cart, but I don't remember the details:

Essential Facts and Tables

At $3.95, I am sure it's less authoritative than the volumes you saw.

For math up through pre-algebra I like Math on Call. In the same series there are books for algebra and geometry but I haven't seen them. I don't know that you're going to find a single reference that covers all of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry in one book.

I have the Algebra to Go (http://www.amazon.com/Algebra-Go-Mathematics-Handbook-Handbooks/dp/0669471518/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b) and also Geometry to Go (http://www.amazon.com/Geometry-Math-Handbooks-Dave-Bradley/dp/0669481297/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c). I had asked for a reference for Algebra and this is one that was recommended on this forum. Both are good. We referenced the Algebra some. So far Geometry is going well and we haven't had to reference any outside resource yet, but this book is well laid out.
