misidawnrn
We were at a restaurant last night and a lady next to us was making small talk with me because I had 20mo DD get down and hand me all the food she dropped on the floor (I know they have bus boys but I still make my kids help pick up their mess) She said "that is nice that you are training them right" She asked DD6 what grade she was in and what school. DD said "I am homeschooled!" and the lady said "you must be pretty smart! All the kids I know are WAY smarter than kids who go to regular school" I told her that was the general idea! I know smart kids go to regular school too, but it made DD beam with pride that someone thought she was smart (besides mommy!) Thankfully little DD wasn't having a bad moment of "not" listening and protesting my request!

Jean in Newcastle
Those are the memories to pack away for one of "those days" - perhaps write it down so you can go back and look at it when your little one won't listen and your bigger one just doesn't seem to listen!
