ANOTHER History Odyssey question

I had a "duh" moment yesterday. I've never bought HO before because I can't stand how it's set up... by regions instead of chronological...

Would it be really crazy to think that I might be able to rearrange it??

Do the writing assignments build on each other?

Do they get harder as the book progresses?

It would be possible, and the writing assignments don't particularly build on each other, nor do the literary assignments. That's why HO doesn't claim to include much writing instruction. Rather, it includes a lot of writing practice. :001_smile: In HO Medieval, the assignments tend to be reports and biographies. HO Early Modern begins to include essays. You could simply have your child read the appendix on writing biographies or essays with the first biography that comes up. Personally, I don't think reworking the writing assignments would be any more difficult that reworking the set up of HO. :D
