kalanamak
Only about the last 4 lessons are "tough" enough at our reading level, and only one page of words like surroundings mysterious misunderstand composition fashionable patiently These are 3-5 syllable words, and some of it is practice, and some is remembering to sound things out. We need a little more practice here. Any books or websites with lists for drill?

ElizabethB
Webster's Speller, 1908 edition has a lot of stories! Or, plain and quick, the 1824 with just word lists. Swan's "The Spelling Book" with some Latin and Greek root work as well, all are linked from Don Potter's Spelling book page. Marcia K. Henry's Words from Pro Ed. I wish they had sample pages!
