I don't know where to start with ds....

I know that my ds has sensory issues. And probably ADD issues. I just don't know where to start with him.

 

We just learned that he has many visual processing issues. He starts vision therapy on Wednesday.

 

But there are many other things going on with him. Do I attack everything all at once? Or do I tackle one thing at a time?

 

Now that we have a diagnosis on his vision problem, where do I go next?

Vision therapy reduced some of my son's sensory issues but not all. Mostly just hose that vision would have direct influence on (my ds had eyes tracking separately, depth and convergence issues) The rest we worked on with an occupational therapist who was specialized in sensory integration disorder.

Thanks Dobela. One more thing. Can you tell me a little bit about what sensory integration disorder looks like? I know absolutely nothing, so anything you tell me will be brilliant! :D

Check out this website. They havea symptoms checklist and suggestions. It is just one site, but it can be a good place to begin. There is much more information available on the web.
