Mama2two
Anyone used Queens nature journal? I can't see inside of it and was wondering if anyone could share any thoughts http://www.queenhomeschool.com/productpages/naturebooksandjournals.html Edited October 9, 2010 by Mama2two
Guest mrsjamiesouth
http://www.christianbook.com/my-nature-journal-adrienne-olmstead/9780967245911/pd/724601?item_code=WW&netp_id=433359&event=ESRCN&view=details Here is the same book at CBD and they have samples. I bought 2 of them and we did them last year. I really liked them! It is great if you are not sure how to do your own Nature Study, or if you want your children to do it more independently,
Mama2two
Thank you! It is great to be able to see in it. How much did you do a week in order to get done in a year? Did you find you had enough to be able to do it with all the seasons or is it really just best for spring/summer?

Did you find you had enough to be able to do it with all the seasons or is it really just best for spring/summer? The Woodlands is Fall, you will be asked to study fallen leaves and decomposers. Meadows is Spring, you study butterflies and flowers. The Seashore is best during warm months of Summer. Twlight was Best in Winter when it gets dark early unless your kids stay up real late. The Ponds & Streams section could be done anytime from Spring to early Fall, it is about Frogs. We found a ton of tadpoles in early August. I only used it once a week and we did about 3-5 pages depending on how much reading before an activity.
