PollyOR
My dd didn't read until a couple of months before she turned 8yo. When she was 9 1/2 she struggled through Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Over the past couple of years she read mainly because my sister offered to pay her per book. This moment in the picture was so special to me. We were at Crater Lake when DH caught her reading Little Women (not an assignment). Friends, there is hope. Hang in there. :) Edited October 8, 2010 by PollyOR

momto2Cs
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My dd is 7.5 and not reading, and it is very frustrating sometimes. Lovely pic by the way!
Mom in High Heels
What a great photo! Thanks for sharing. Indy is a struggling reader (he's dyslexic), but want to read so badly. It kills me that he has such a hard time. I devour books and have taken such great joy in them. I want the same for him. You have given me hope.
