5parkers
We are using Switched on Schoolhouse this year for history- which bascially is world geography- and my son is not doing well with the computer thing! I need actual books to be able to sit and do this with him. I looked at Galloping the Globe online, and it looks good- but maybe too young for a 4th grader? I'm not sure. Also looked at Trail Guide to World Geography. This might be more age appropriate, but is it mostly just mapping? I liked the whole literature involved with the mapping idea that Galloping seems to have. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!!! Woodland_Mom
Maybe you could use Beautiful Feet Geography. The guide takes you through several terrific books, such as "Paddle to the Sea" and "Minn of Mississippi". cdrumm4448
We are doing Beautiful Feet Geography right now and my son loves it! Each chapter is one page, the books are amazingly beautiful, and the maps are so cool. We are also doing Evan-Moore's Daily Geography and it's very public-schoolish. Read, discuss, workbook page. You know the drill.
