Guest mrsjamiesouth Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 When I was pregnant with #3 I had my nerves shocked 3 different times. 1st Time- at the dentist when he gave me a shot of lidacaine for a root canal it caused an electrical shock (it zapped around my head) 2nd time- getting my blood drawn for tests (same as your son described) 3rd Time- During the spinal tap for my planned c-section he hit a nerve and it shot all the way down my spine to my toes (that one was the most uncomfortable) It should wear off on its own by tomorrow, I can't imagine that drawing blood would cause permanent damage.
