ktgrok
My ds 10 is new to homeschooling and I think a unit study on Halloween might be a lot of fun. So far I'm thinking we should research the history of Halloween, maybe do gravestone rubbings, read ghost stories? Any other suggestions? ktgrok
thanks, we don't do lap books, but that site gave me the idea to cover spiders and bats as part of the unit. If anyone is interested I also found this on Netflix: http://www.clicker.com/movie/national-geographic-creepy-creatures/
2cents
We're doing Universal Class's 'Haunted Places' study. We're also creating a plan for a Halloween theme decorated cake and making completely homemade pumpkin pie. We're also listening to Frankenstein on Audible. In the mornings we listen to a Radio Mystery Theater show (the girls love this!). These are some of the things we're doing. My girls are middle school age so the activities are geared to their age.
