Alicia64
I just need to set up something very easy and basic so my mom can see pictures and descriptions of what we're up to. But I don't know where to start. Any suggestions? TIA! Alley

rwjx2khsmj
I use Blogger. It's easy to use and customize.
Alicia64
No, I want a blog. Twitters, I think, are meant to be really short. I also want to keep it private for just my mom, sister and friends. Alley
joannqn
I second blogger. It's what I use, and it is very easy to set up and maintain. And, if you choose to get more involved with it at a later date, you can get into the code to customize it as much as you want. You're not limited to the premade templates if you know what you are doing.
VA6336
With blogger you can set the blog as "private" and provide readers with the password. You can also set it so that search engines won't crawl it. My grandparents can't read my blog because they still have dial-up (I know, crazy!!) and it takes too long to load the page. So, make sure your grandma has an adequate connection speed!
TechWife
I second what everyone else is saying about blogger - it is easy to manage. If your Grandma's eyesight is weak, choose a dark background color and a light color for your text - it is easier to read on the computer. My dad is now legally blind and this is what he has told me. He knows how to change his computer around to read my blog in his colors, but your grandmother might not know how to do that.
