DawnM
This year we switched from Sonlight to WP. Overall my kids (who aren't huge readers) are happier with WP and the activities involved. We also purchased the WP 5th grade Language Arts. The grammar mistakes in this book (and we are only on lesson 8) are driving me absolutely BATTY! Today's instructions included a sentence that went something like this: "My parents will be giving exciting news to Tommie and I." ARGH! There are a few others too. I feel like every lesson I am also giving my children a lesson on how to correct the instructional information! That is all. Dawn

Have you posted anything about it on the board or emailed them? I wonder what they would say:tongue_smilie:
savmom
Are the errors in the guide or in one of the books? Either way, I agree that you should contact them or at the very least post your concerns on the forum. Frustrating and just one of the reasons I cannot use their LA! MrsMe
They're known for their typos. And there are many! Wrong page numbers, books, etc. I think because of all the out of print books. Drives me absolutely batty too. Never did LA past 1st. It's quite an annoyance. I just really don't understand why they don't have a decent editor. I still love the product. But they're going to destroy themselves over some of this. Edited October 1, 2010 by alilac

DawnM
This is a book that THEY wrote and published! It is def. not a typo. It is a grammatical error and one that many misuse, but if it is in the GRAMMAR book, I would expect it NOT to be there! Dawn

I have only done the lower levels, but the problem is prevalent throughout. Cindy
DianeW88
I love WP and use it, but NOT their LA programs. You can do much better on your own. This year I'm using "Royals and Revolution" with my oldest and "AS-1 and Animal Worlds" with my youngest. It's a blast!! DawnM
Well, I spent this ridiculous amount of money and do plan to use it this year. The work isn't that bad so far, although I must say that I do like Easy Grammar better for Grammar itself. Dawn
