SeekingSimplicity
but in the fall. Our temps have dropped from the upper 90's to the upper 60's. It's beautiful out. In no shape form or fashion do my kids want to do school on days like this. Luckily we don't have much to do today anyhow. I'm going to kick them out in a little bit. i.love.lucy
We've got it here too! We've been doing school on our back porch and going for long walks and bike rides. If summer wasn't so busy with swimming, camp, VBS, etc, we should have schooled through the inferno and taken our break now!
AuntieM
Yup, us too. I have always had more trouble with Fall Fever than with Spring Fever. So we went hiking yesterday and will do the same today. There will be plenty of dreary winter days to complete the pen-to-paper work. Mejane
You all are obviously not on the east coast... :)
Hunter's Moon
It's still a bit muggy here. The temps have been in the 70s and 80s but it's also been raining the past 2 days. I love the rain, so it doesn't bother me, but definitely not ideal Fall weather. I can't wait until it is officially in the lower 60s, upper 50s here. Annie Laurie
We're experiencing the same thing- not 60s, I wish! But high 70s/low 80s which is so nice after 100s and high 90s all summer. So we took yesterday off and they played outside all day and we're taking the rest of this week off. We had completed 6 weeks of school without missing even one day, so I figured a short break wouldn't hurt while we enjoy the weather. Leanna Tomlinson
This day is GOLDEN!!! Sunny and 71. Last week was in the 90's, next week is predicted to be in the 50's. After we did Bible, Math ,and Grammar this morning I said, "Go outside. Go play. Go explore. Read in a tree. If I see you, you have to do school." I haven't seen a child since. I'm about to go join them! :D
