We've dabbled in IEW, did TOG Writing Aids for 2 years (lots of report type writing, not dictation so much) and tried CW but I'm finding it too teacher intense for my situation in life :tongue_smilie: So I've been listening to SWB's audios, reading WTM and want to get back to what works and is do-able in our home school which is Rod and Staff and WTM method. My question is do we just move on to middle school outlining and work as laid out in WTM or would my 7th grader benefit from some higher level dictation foundation building first? I'm having my 4th grader begin WWE again on level 2(she used 1 before our switch to CW and she loved it) so I'm familiar with the layout and process, just not the difficulty of the levels 3 or 4. I would only back up to WWE with a student that old if he or she had really missed the basics -- and it sounds like you've covered those, just in a different form.
