Ouidad - Oui or Non?

I had never heard about Ouidad before last month and now I'm hearing about it everywhere. I'm running out of my trusty Aveda curl product, so it's decision time. Please give me your opinion of the product.

The shampoo, conditioner and gel worked very well for my curls. The Intense Conditioner? Eh.

Do you have thick, heavy curls or thinner hair? My hair is very curly, but blonde and finer. My favorite products are the Curly line by Bumble and Bumble. It is expensive, but sometimes I can find it at an outlet. I love it!! My hair is always frizz free and soft.

I have thick, heavy ringlet curls. Well most of my hair is. Then I get random bits that want to wave and some that just want to frizz. Aveda had worked well, but I got a new cut and for some reason, it doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore.

Bumping this thread. I'd love to see more input on Ouidad products. I dropped thirty dollars last week on a sample pack of Deva Curl products and was less than impressed with all but the gel. I may try the Deva Curl Lo-Poo (as opposed to the No-Poo, which was awful for my curls).

I too am interested in this thread. So far, the best I've found is Aussie Moist shampoo, cond and 3-min miracle.

 

I love Sebastion 9 potion and Sebastian Laminates spray. I also use a curling cream from Sally Beauty.

 

But, I've wondered about Oiudad.

Definitely no!

 

It worked on my hair...but, it ended up drying my hair out. The product seemed to suck out the moisture...and then you had to use the product to make it feel moisturized...but, it was part of the problem.

 

It reminds me of skin cream that contains alcohol...there's the initial benefit/relief...but, it is drying out your skin more causing you to feel the need to apply more!

 

It is also far, far to expensive for what you receive....

 

It isn't...as far as my hair is concerned...any better/different than the average hair care supplies at the local grocery store.

:bigear: My all-time favorite curl product was discontinued a year or so ago :( I've managed to keep finding stock on eBay, but at some point soon, I'm going to run out. I need to have a backup by that point!

I've never tried it. But, I have to pimp my favorite curl products: jessicurl. They frequently have free/reduced shipping and the starter kits last me quite a while.
