A home for their hearts
Looking for suggestions for a novel to read. I've been reading too many non-fiction and am ready to sit back and relaz with a good book!
Chris in VA
If you don't mind Christian historical fiction, the first two Mark of The Lion books are pretty good. Tame kissy-kissy stuff, nothing shocking in that dept. No glorifying adultery.
A home for their hearts
I'll have to look into those. Thanks Any other suggestions?
VBoulden
The last love story I read was Redeeming Love. It'll make you blush at time or two, but it's based on the story of Hosea. It deals with some real issues and the character's are just a flawed as real people, but it's the kind of book you can't put down and has an ending that will make your heart sing. Heidi @ Mt Hope
The Harvester by Gene Stratton-Porter. Sometimes it is hard to find a very romantic love story that is also very clean. The Harvester is the only book I've read that fits the bill.
duckabell
I really enjoyed "These is my Words" by Nancy Turner. It's about a pioneer woman in the Southwest and her struggles, triumphs, and love. It was fairly clean too, at least there's nothing too offensive that I can remember. Mothersweets
These is My Words is a very good book! The Harvester is another good one, too! Here is a link to another recent thread about good books; in it I posted a link to another good books thread, too. :) HTH! OregonNative
I finished The Mailbox: A Novel and LOVED it. I'm not a love story type of gal either. :001_smile:
