chickenpatty
on an early Saturday afternoon. We'll be traveling down 95 and will be stopping somewhere along there to break up the trip. P.S. Must be inexpensive, because there are a lot of us! :)
Shelly in IL
Lots of cute stores, ice cream, etc. I would guess it is not cheap, but it is free to go windowshop and watch the boats on the Mississippi.
rookie
civil war walking tour (group rate).
GoVanGogh
I would go out to Tybee Island and walk the beach. :D We went there 1.5 years ago and DS still asks to go back. I don't remember the cost, but we enjoyed touring a lighthouse and visiting a small marine science center.
Annie G
Exit 102 off 95 has a fabulous museum- the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. It's not free ($10 adults, $6 kids unless you book in advance and get a group discount). Excellent exhibits! Two hours would be plenty of time to see it. They have added an exhibit on the holocaust, one on WACS, and some hands on things....it's pretty cool.
Sebastian (a lady)
Lots of cute stores, ice cream, etc. I would guess it is not cheap, but it is free to go windowshop and watch the boats on the Mississippi. We went to Fort Pulaski a few years ago and had a good time. Admission is $3 / person 16 yo and up. The fort is open 9am - 5pm.
alpidarkomama
Are you more interested in nature-y outdoors things? Or museums? Or downtown exploration? We live here and can give some ideas. :)
chickenpatty
Probably more outdoorsy stuff or maybe museums. We're just looking for an interesting way to stretch our legs.:) Thanks all!
