Is there a list or thread..

that breaks down curriculum options by grade and subject?

example:

1st grade

grammar- FLL, PLL,etc etc

writing- WWE, Write Source, etc etc

Spelling-

I thought a list like that would be SO helpful to us newbies. It would even be helpful for looking ahead to higher grades.

If there isnt one, I would love to make one....any ideas on how I can have members help me gather all the info? I would start a thread and have people add to it, but that could get crazy long. Maybe should I throw up a blog and make a basic list and then keep updating it as I get more info?

Any ideas or thoughts?

If you do a search for threads like "What are you doing for Second Grade"

there will be numerous posts listing what people are using for that grade. That really helped me figure out the different options. When I first came here, I often read with an Amazon window and our Library window open so I could look up what people were talking about. :D After awhile you can sorta figure out what might work for your family and narrow down the options.

Or maybe not. I just tried the search and came up with thousands of posts. But they were real popular over the summer. Sorry I wasn't more help.

This is a great idea! I've saved a list from another mama here and added some to it, but it's divided by subject, not grade. Maybe if anyone has time, we can add in what grades each covers and then categorize them by grade and also add history, science, art, religion and all the options for other subjects. HTH!

Thank you...excellent starting point!!!

I will start looking through them all and writing the grade recs down. I have to figure out the logistics but I think I am just going to get a bsic list down in my free time and have ppl email with any suggestions and updates :001_smile:
