muffinmom
you can take L-tryptophan supplements. I am...and I take it with pyridoxal-5-phosphate (a form of B6) at the direction of my holistic m.d. apparently the combination of those two is important. Crissy
I think I have a tendency to get dehydrated because a glass of water (or three) often helps me get through a slump. I guess I'm not very observant when it comes to food, as I only notice when a particular thing has a very negative effect.
muffinmom
water helps me too. that or a snack that has a little carb, protein, and fat. I can't eat carbs alone. I used to love to drink a glass of milk as a pick-me-up--8 grams protein per 8 oz. but alas, I'm trying to avoid dairy now. :( I really used to rely on it in a pinch. muffinmom
I was re-reading your first post, and it might not just be about the tryptophan. The protein may be helping you too. And the good fats.
Jen in PA
A glass of milk does wonders for me.
klmama
It sounds to me like low blood sugar, and protein sources with some carbs are the best remedy for that. I like nuts and raisins.
