mommyto4
I am wondering what the differences are between WWE2 and WWE3. My 8 year old son is working through WWE2. He is an excellent writer and speller. He can easily answer comprehension questions and is doing well with narrations. Although he complains about dictation, he does quite well with them. He is in Grade Three so I am wondering if I should get him working on WWE3, stick with WWE2, or go quickly through WWE2. Any comments or advice would be appreciated. Penelope
The WWE3 narration passages are printed in the student pages, for the student to read himself, though of course you could still read it to him if you wanted. They are a little longer than in WWE2. There is no copywork of the dictation passage in WWE3. There are two days of narration and two days of dictation. One of the dictation days is dictating the student's own narration back to him. The workbook dictations are also a little longer than in WWE2. It is a very natural progression. mommyto4
Thanks! I think I will order WWE3 in a couple months and make a switch to it after Christmas. For now, we will continue through WWE2 quickly. Julie
Mom0012
You could always do the evaluation at the end of WWE 2 with him and see how he does. If he goes through it with flying colors, then I would move on to WWE 3. Lisa
