If anyone knows, you will: natural food coloring?

Recommended Posts

and I don't mean onion skins and marigolds. I'm looking for food coloring vibrant colors but not regular old chemical food coloring. Is there something out there made with natural ingredients? I've tried the onion skins, blueberries, et c route but my colors are never pretty. and in the case of blueberries, I really had to use my imagination to know it wasn't just grey.

We're entering the exciting world of Bento and would like to have blue rice once in a while or paint an egg or something. I just hate the idea of using the regular drops and would love to find something more . . . natural.
