My dh had it for a month, went to the doctor, had his ear washed out, got ear drops, nothing helped. Now I've got it. One ear sounds like it's under water. I'm going to try to drown it (hyper-hydration) and take Sudafed (anti-hydration). Ohio12 Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 my dd had fluid behind her ears and someone on here suggested ibuprofen for inflammation and mucinex for it to drain. she was better in 3 days!!!! the doctor said it could take weeks or months. don't know if you have the same thing, but i thought i would mention this. Oh, thank you! I'm going to start the ibuprofen tonight and buy some mucinex tomorrow!
