LuvingLife
Because we have are on a tight budget right now, my parents decided to use the ps curriculum for me for about 2 months until they can afford the curriculum I need. They will start ordering the curriculum a little at a time right now and in about 2 months, I will have everything I need. Have any of you had any experience using the ps curriculum? I am definitely getting Lials, TT, and Apologia first for school and the rest is coming next. But what are your experiences and how would you use these books? Any help is appreciated! Rosie_0801
Instead of using the PS curriculum just to change in two months time, why not spend that two months reading, writing and working on a large project like learning to cook or sew? All you'd need was the library, some stationary and whatever odds and sods you can find at a thrift shop. Rosie

Also a big creative writing assignment, like writing an entire novel. If you choose to learn to sew, think of this as a block home ec class, and make something big, like a dress or a quilt. I would also suggest that giving some concerted time to learning a foreign language is a good idea--this is less textbook dependent than something like math. Speaking of math, I would keep your skills sharp with review and drill until you get your textbook. Put in as many hours as you would if you had your textbooks. Try to get your math textbooks first so you can get going on that asap.

Good idea, I think I will focus more on my writing skills, which have been improving and making some scarves for my sisters. :iagree: Sounds like the perfect time for a big research paper or two. Teachin'Mine
I would also use this time to get solid in your algebra I and prepare for the test you'll be taking in a couple of months. :)
LuvingLife
I would also use this time to get solid in your algebra I and prepare for the test you'll be taking in a couple of months. :) That is at the top of my list right now, I am using TT algebra 1, ordering TT geometry, Lials algebra 1 and 2, using khan academy and using Saxon's and TT's placement tests as well as the other links everyone gave me. Hopefully I will be prepared! Thanks for the reminder though.:001_smile:
