mommy4ever Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Last spring, dd and I tried to do memorization. She had a real hard time with it. So I let it go. This year we started again. Daily she was given her poem to memorize to read out loud. Today we did review, she read it out loud, then I said, let me see that, and asked her to recite it to me. She did it perfectly. She has been practicing since Thursday. So she had Thursday, Friday and today! I guess the difference is her reading it herself! Last year she was a non reader, now she is becoming a voracious reader. :lol: She continually amazes me each and every day with what she is retaining and learning.
