Favorite toy for 3yo?

What does your 3yo love to play with or your once 3yo? I am looking for ideas for a boy. :001_smile: Is there any great toy out there that I am unaware of? We are a bit picky here.

A wooden train set. You can start small and add to it. Most of the sets - Brio, Thomas, Imaginarium can be mixed.

at that age my oldest loved dressing up. He was always a pirate, a construction worker, a "working man"-little tie and jacket and old typewriter, Tarzan, Batman, Superman, etc. He also loved to hunt for bugs in the backyard with his bug hunting kit. And blocks and puzzles and his tent. Other than that, most toys were a waste. Oh he loved sticker books and paint with water books.

My dd who is three now loves arts and crafts, puzzles, blocks, her stuffed animals, her tent, paper and envelopes to play post office-those are her favorites. She sometimes plays dress-up, kitchen, and babies if her big sister will play with her.

They both liked play-dough, too. And books galore.

Trains, trains, trains.

My 3yo has Thomas sets, Lionel sets, generic cheapies, train books, train clothes, and can navigate YouTube to watch all of the train-geeks' videos.

:iagree:We had so much fun with Thomas. It's one of the toys we're keeping for the grandkids. It's also nice if you family that likes to buy gifts. You could add on to these sets forever.
