Hi,

Have any of you used this? http://www.currclick.com/product_info.php?products_id=7881&it=1

I was thinking about getting the download from curriclick and making some of these to keep my 3 year old busy during school. If you have tried it please give me your opinions.

I was also looking at http://www.currclick.com/product_info.php?products_id=32459{1}1&it=1 which also looked like it may work.

Thanks for any advice. It is very hard keeping my 3 year old occupied during school. I want to avoid TV as a sitter at all costs.

Thanks,

Penny

My kids really enjoy them. It's a lot of work (easier to do with a group of moms) to get the bags assembled. I've done a couple of group swaps and several bags on my own and it's much easier to do 20 of the same bag than 20 different ones. There are lots of little pieces once they are put together. If you don't stay on top of it, you can have a big mess! I found it best to let them have 1 bag at a time.

I did them as a swap, and haven't really gotten that much out of them. Frankly, making them was like having a part-time job, it took me about 30 minutes per bag. I definitely haven't gotten as many hours of use out of them as it took me to make my share in the swap.

I agree. In fact, I donated many of them to our co-op's preschool class because we just weren't using them. I do wonder if my current preschooler might get more out of them than my older kids did. I may have to borrow a few for a week or so to see.

How about a free link to free ideas instead: http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/preschool_activities.htm

As others have said, it's a bit of work to put them together, I hear it *does* work nicely to get a swap group going or something. I've not actually used these ideas much, but, something to look at anyway. A free way for you to give it a try in your house. :)
