Medieval Mom
What are your favorite Latin e-books? My favorite, so far, is Latin Primer. It looks like a nice, academic-but-gentle Latin book, perhaps useful after GSWL. :) :lurk5:
dsmith
I think someone on this board linked this previously. It's fun to look through. http://books.google.com/books?id=yp8AAAAAYAAJ There are audio files here: http://comenius.posterous.com/ The above also came from someone on this board. I haven't had a chance to listen to anything or check out the site, and the book I have only looked through a few times. (my list of things to check out is getting incredibly long!) Zoo Keeper
I have waaay too many Latin feebies stored on my hard drive. Just ask my husband, who has been burning back up files before our computer gets it annual overhaul... Anyway, my current favorites are: Latin I, by Person, Lawrence, and Raynor (google books) I really, really like this one. Latin for the First Year, by Gunnison and Harley (also google books, and William Linney has free audio lectures for this on his site) A Latin Reader, by H.C. Nutting (google books again) This has stories about Columbus, Cabot, and other figures/events in American history; pleasant change if your Latin student wants something else besides more toga stories to translate. Medieval Mom
Ooh! H.C. Nutting wrote the book that I listed, too! Fun! :) I love these Latin gems! Thank you, all!
Amy Jo
I am planning to use H C Nutting's books after GSWL. They look like gems. Amy

I am trying to decide which Latin to use with ds next year, and GSWL is a contender. I am thrilled that you think Nutting would be a good fit afterwards! :)
