RainbowSprinkles
If you wanted to work for one, how would you get started? And what kind of degree would you need?
Pam L.
It is admirable you desire to work for such an organization! I would guess that the requirements would be different for each agency/group. You might try contacting your local child services office (usually through the county) - maybe they can recommend some organizations. Sometimes in the yellow pages of your phone book under "service organizations" or "childlren's services" you may find a suitable group. Also, some phone books list public service agencies in the beginning. Good luck!
Mejane
If you can, start by volunteering then find out if they require a degree, and if so what kind. Depending upon in what part of the organization your interests lie, either something in business (grant writing, fundraising, etc) or in social services (if you want to work hands-on with recipients) might be appropriate.
