coffeefreak
Hey!!!! I just started a new social group for those of us that use Drawn Into the Heart of Reading. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/group.php?groupid=123 I was planning for the year and trying to come up with book ideas for each genre for two kids. I decided it would make life MUCH easier if we had a social group where we could work together on this. Feel free to join and add your suggestions to each genre. I don't really want to discuss the books within the group, just have suggestions at the ready for each of us to research and look into on our own. I also added a "Project" discussion where we can share the projects we've done. I don't want to violate any copyright laws so please don't post project ideas that are in the DITHOR teacher's guide. HTH in your planning! Blessings! Dorinda
Donna T.
Thanks, Dorinda! I think this is a great idea. :001_smile: I'm a little pressed for time at this moment but I'll drop in later and post the books that we used last year, our first year using DITHOR. My 5th grader loved the books that he read. I do use Carrie's book lists but I also pulled things from my own shelves and used the library. Edited August 17, 2010 by Donna T. I use Carrie's recommendations too, but there's always that book you can't find from her list unless you buy it, or the book that flops :) I'm looking forward to your suggestions!
