melmichigan
I am working on my TOG plan, which includes a lot of SL literature. ;) Anyone care to share any not to be missed books from these cores?
swimmermom3
Have your children read much from SL 100? There are many good books in there but I would consider them too young for the age group this core is geared towards. What age range will be using the cores? melmichigan
This is our middle school rotation with my oldest. My DD has read a few lower books of Core 100. Call of the Wild, Dear Mr. Henshaw, From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, and Adventures of Tom Sawyer were done in 4th and 5th. (I do plan to wait a year or two on Christy.) We are in Y2 of TOG, so many will be spread out over the course of the next few years. I am trying to get a feel since TOG Y2 includes World and begins US history with unit 3. We do a lot of lit. so I am trying to balance some of the really good UG and D books from TOG with those from SL, that whole best of both world thing again, :tongue_smilie: it is working really well with Cores 6 and 2 so I plan to continue with the rest of what I already own, which is through 100.
