KidsHappen
I take a couple of supplements that are in capsule form and occassionally I will burp and a cloud of dust will come out of my mouth obviously due to the gel cap dissolving and releasing the contents before they are digested. It burns my thoat like the dickens. This just started within the last month and it is supplements that I have taken for years. I have tried only taking one type at a time and seemed to have narrowed it down to a magnesium capsule. It is the same brand I have always taken and they have come from more than one bottle. It doesn't have anything to do with what time of the day I take them but it could be due to taking them on an empty stomach. What is causing this and what can I do about it?
dansamy
Too much acid refluxed into your esophagus causing the gel to break apart too soon? An antacid/proton pump inhibitor would fix that. The only other thing I can think of would be pyloric valve issues. Not closing fully, weak, stenosis, etc.
