MariannNOVA
at 2pm. i thought we were going to have to wait till end of September when there was an opening. DD30 spoke to her LLMD's office a little while ago (one has to 'apply' to be a patient there - I know :glare:) and the Doc looked at ds' blood test results and told the staff to put him in Monday as urgent. Relieved that he is going in so soon........really upset (cannot think of another word to use right now) at the pediatrician for blowing us off the way she did. Ambivalent at being tagged 'urgent' --glad it gets us in, don't want anything unmanageable to be going on. I am exhausted - I have to get everyone ready to go meet Bike Book Bread (Stephanie) and her family to see a play tonight. I am so glad we are doing something fun. Thank you all and :grouphug::grouphug: to whomever has listened to me go on and on this afternoon.
Jean in Newcastle
I'm glad he's already on the antibiotic. And I'm doubly glad that he's getting in so soon. Say :seeya: to Stephanie from us!
Mejane
So glad to hear this! If there is anything worse than having had lyme myself, it's thinking of kids suffering with it.

I will. I am going to bring my camera and see if it is ok with S for us to take a photo of the kids all together -- there should be 7 kids: my three, Stephanie's two, my two grand-daughters. What fun -- I am so thankful we are doing something fun!

MariannNOVA
What's an LLMD?:blushing: Hi, Amy: Lyme Literate M.D. Three years ago I did not know that such a person existed.:001_huh: The LLMD that we will see is a Rheumatologist/Infectious Disease Specialist -- I thank G-d for her b/c I do not know what would have become of my DD30 without her. You are so right, and THAT is what upsets me as a parent AND upsets me as far as our present-pediatrician. I cannot go there - I have to think happy thoughts and get ready for us all to go out tonight and meet Stephanie (BikeBookBread) and go to a play.:tongue_smilie:
~Kirsten~
Have a fantastic time tonight! And really, try not to worry! In fact, just take a lot of comfort in the fact that your gut was right! :grouphug:

I had never had that happen before. I'm going to go search for your other thread now but your ped better not have downplayed LYMES. I hope I'm making a WRONG assumption here!
