BikeBookBread
I just broke the handle off of my favorite mug (a Starbucks city mug from London that we bought at the Starbucks near Trafalgar Square in 1999). ETA: It's a clean break...two big pieces with larger-sized "nubs" on the mug body. Is there ANY glue that would REALLY save this mug? I've never found a glue that really holds ceramics safely. I bet someone here knows of a dependable glue. I want to use it for hot beverages, of course! TIA!

shannatheshedevil
Yes! I have a friend who is a potter and she suggests sandpapering the broken pieces before glue-ing (with something REALLY strong, like Gorilla Glue) and after it's dry, sealing the break with clear nail polish. KatieJ
My hubby keeps two part epoxy glue around for those kinds of repairs. I don't know the brand, and it probably changes every time he has to buy a new one. No guarantees, but I would give it a try.
