Hedgehogs4
The kids and i have been listening to SOTW in the car a lot (we're way ahead in the CD's) and we got to the American Revolution yesterday. I was so tickled to have the American story embedded in the rest of what was going on at the time. I had no idea all the wars in Europe were also going and were affecting what was happening here (okay, i know i'm a little weak on european history, but still). It was so cool to have the kids hear that, and we were all saying how interesting it was. It was also a very thorough handling of our stories. I enjoyed it immensely. kpnick in nc
I had the same sense of enlightenment when I read the Revolution section in a bio of John Adams, as he did a lot of diplomatic work in Europe during the Rev. War. I'm looking forward to learning so much myself as we work through SOTW - beginning next year... :001_smile: Edited August 12, 2010 by kpnick in nc
