Marie in Oh
Can I just say thank you all who turned me on to CLE Math this year. We have been trying to find a good fit for my girls. My oldest used MUS and then switched to TT last year which is a good fit for him. Wanting to change from Math U See, we tried Singapore, TT, and then CLE. CLE it is. We are currently doing levels 1, 2, 4, and 6 and it is going famously. It is perfect. My 3 older girls do TT in the afternoon for review and fun as well, so we aren't wasting that investment, but CLE will be our main program at least through 8th grade, and maybe in highschool if they revise their program to the Sunrise Editions by then. Thank you, thank you thank you.

....
Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I have a 3rd grader who is using Singapore and CLE. CLE is filling in a LOT of blanks for us too (good blanks, not bad ones :tongue_smilie:). I might switch 2nd grader from Horizons into CLE also. Go, CLE! :hurray:
abrightmom
Marie, This is a great report!!!! I've excited to hear how you feel about other CLE curricula as well :D. We are starting a CLE/Math Mammoth hybrid as soon as I'm ready . . . Yahoo for your family!!
FriedClams
I thought it would be too light - but I've been pleasantly surprised by CLE Math. My kids really like it and I think it's very thorough. We'll continue with Horizons (their test results have ROCKED, so I don't want to fix something that's not broken) but I may use it as a supplement. Hmmm...my 7 yro is in Horizons 2 and he is really struggling right now. I don't know what happened, but the curriculum made some gigantic leap and he seemed to hit a wall with subtraction. I'm just going to keep chugging along, then... That's good to know that the test scores are high! Horizons seems REALLY advanced at this point. Good job on the testing!! :)
Keniki
We love CLE too! Sunrise Algebra 1 is expected in 2013. The other high school classes will be later.
mrs.m
Another CLE user here! I'm so happy with how much my DS is learning. I think the curriculum is very thorough! I considered moving DD into it for Math. But I think we are going to try Saxon for the upper levels.
