JWSJ
My kids like fruit punch flavored Gatorade. It helps with the heat wave. But, the dyes make us nervous. Is there a dye-free version of Gatorade?
Tiff in TX
Not sure about gatorade, but in our house we drink Propel all the time. It doesn't have any dyes and we love the taste.
JWSJ
Where is Propel sold?
Baseball mom
Usually on the same isle as the water, flavored water, cold coffee drinks etc. Sold at most stores. Walmart and regular grocery is all I know since that is all we have here.
Daisy
I just came off of 2 weeks of Gatorade due to a nasty stomach bug that turned into IBS. I think the dyes in the Gatorade made my issues WORSE! We don't usually drink it and I can see why now.
*********
I know I've bought clear Gatorade beofe, but it's been a LONG time, so I don't know if they still make it or not.
leighp
We love Vitamin Water here. Even the Zero one seems to be pretty natural (sweetener wise). I can't vouch for just how natural though because I love soda and drink that too.
cin
My oldest canNOT do red and yellow. It turns her into a monster. Literally, like Jekyll and Hyde. We started her in therapy for anger/self-esteem etc. She would go into a rage and hit herself and go on and on about what a horrble person she was. It was red dye. She has minor issues, but nothing like what we saw on red dye. READ the labels. Just because it's clear, doens't mean it's dye free. Trust me. Crissy
I am not aware of a dye-free version of Gatorade. Also, a note about Propel water. It may not contain dye, but it is sweetened with Acesulfame potassium. Edited August 11, 2010 by Crissy
dsmith
At Whole Foods they sell Gatorade Natural. I think it's only available there and I haven't actually looked at the label. I also remember seeing a home made version of gatorade on a website, but I don't know where - I'll look around.
MyLittleWonders
Whole Foods and other health food stores will also sell Recharge, which is an all-natural type of Gatorade (basically juices, water and salt for the electrolyte balance). KathyBC
Yup, I noticed a clear Gatorade (or maybe Powerade?) showed up at the rink last year. :thumbup1:
Kim in Appalachia
It's pricey, but it has nothing artificial in it. I'll try to put a link http://www.runningwarehouse.com/descpage-HED32.html
Kim in Appalachia
they also make an electrolyte drink with nothing artificial. http://www.runningwarehouse.com/catpage-drinks.html this page has 2 Hammer products (that are drinks), plus the HEED. Hope you find something that works.
