momofkhm
to go check the kids' bathroom. They've been cleaning their bathroom for years now. It's been a while since I looked at it. I went in there to try and clear off the counter using the plastic baskets I bought. That went well. We got rid of 2 kitchen size trash bags of stuff from under their sinks. Then most of their stuff is under the sink in their baskets. The counters look great! Then I looked in the tub. Yuck! I wonder if the state of the tub has anything to do with why my IL don't stay here anymore. I'm really surprised my mom hasn't said anything! It took me 15 minutes to clean the tub and the only reason I stopped is that knees and back couldn't take it anymore. It's not as clean as I'd really like it to be, but it's so much better than it was! So in about month it will be bad again. Remind me to go look. Parrothead
okay, I'll remind you. And you might want to create a note to self - check on the state of the bathroom when company is planned.
Entropymama
 Also, Parrothead I love your quote, "I'm not talking to myself. I'm having a parent teacher conference." Golden!
mcconnellboys
It still amazes me that my older son could clean his bedroom and bathroom when he was 11, but he can't seem to get either of them clean now, at 18....

It isn't mine, I borrowed if from another homeschooling mom.
KellyinPA
LOL. You mean I should be checking their bathroom?!? My 18yo dd is in charge of cleaning it once a week and one of the 9yos wipes the sink down every morning. When we have company I always ask her to make sure that the bathroom is clean and then I announce as loudly and as often as appropriate that it is my dd's job to clean that bathroom! Just in case. :)
