MUS users - ? about ds re: Gamma/Delta

I think you could move on, but come back to those lessons. Maybe 2 weeks of Delta, then do lesson 29, then 2 more weeks of Delta, then 30. I also think if you feel he doesn't need too much review, you could skip the systematic review sheets for lessons 29 & 30.

 

My dd about went crazy trying to do those last few lessons. I still made her do them, we just broke them up through the day more, maybe 1 row of them at a time. That reminds me, I need to have her practice some of those.:001_smile:

Multiple digit multiplication is hard and takes a while to sink in. I would move on, but work on it a little each day. Do a problem or two until it sinks in.

 

Have you tried using graph paper or turning the page sideways so the lines run down it, keeping the ones, tens, hundreds, thousands columns visibly apart?

I would let him move on and review as needed. Anything over an 80% would make me happy; a 91% would make me feel he would be perfectly competent after a little bit of review :)

We had the same thing going on here. Those problems are long. Just move on to Delta and keep doing one or two of the multiplication problems each day.

 

And heads up, the same thing happens in Delta with really looooong long division problems. :glare:

We skipped the last couple of lessons then went into Delta... I didnt care for Delta so we did other things and now we're in Epsilon.
