thescrappyhomeschooler
Since this is our first year, and ds1 needs familiarity and a schedule to follow, I set up my dining room to be like a classroom. I have a calendar in the sunroom so that they can see what we have planned for the day. The bookcase in the living room holds library books for school and pleasure. But, most of the stuff is in the dining room. I put the computer in the dining room so that they could watch their Math-U-See lessons on it. I'm getting psyched to start on the 30th! StaceyinLA
My ds (15) and I are going to be back to having a school room this year after some family members moved out. It's small, but it's gonna be our hideout for 5-6 hours each day. In fact, dh is painting it this afternoon!

meet me in paris
Looks great! I have the same Ikea bookshelf, but mine is completely overflowing and doesn't look nearly as cute. ;)
thescrappyhomeschooler
Looks great! I have the same Ikea bookshelf, but mine is completely overflowing and doesn't look nearly as cute. ;) I just bought the Ikea shelf in May. I'm sure it will soon be overflowing, too! Thanks, ladies, for the nice words.
southcarolinamom
Sweet! Bright and sunny and, most of all, organized! Right next to your kitchen, so you can get stuff done while schoolwork is going on. I love it! :001_smile:
